2019 year of giving

If you follow me on social media or subscribe to my newsletter you may have seen my plan for the year.

In 2018 I donated a portion of sales to The Homeless Alliance and The American Red Cross: Hurricane Michael Relief Fund. I’ve said before that giving back shifts my focus and reminds me how fortunate I am to do what I love for a living, so I decided to make 2019 the year of giving back.

I hope I can continue this forever, but I have to make money to give money. This month I haven’t made very much, so in addition to donating 20% of sales to The Humane Society of Oklahoma, I also donated lots of goods. I cleaned out my studio and house & donated unused art supplies to The OKC Girls Art School, art & canvases to Fresh StART, and coats to The Homeless Alliance. I also took a ton of clothes to Goodwill.

I’m participating in two fundraising events next month. See those on my event page. Up next for February giving is The Alzheimers Association.

I need your help deciding on some other worthy charities.

I have the comments turned on here, or you can contact me, comment on my social media; whatever works. Here are some I have in mind already……
